Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Visitteo uses cookies and similar technologies on visitteo.com and all its language versions (the “Website”), and how you can control them.

We use only the cookies we need to run the Website. Everything else, such as analytics and affiliate tracking cookies, is used only if you agree. You can change your choice at any time.

Summary

  • Strictly necessary cookies keep the Website working and secure. They don’t need your consent.
  • Analytics and affiliate cookies are set only after you accept them in our cookie banner.
  • Rejecting optional cookies is as easy as accepting them, and the Website still works.
  • You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
  • When you click through to a partner’s website, the partner may set its own cookies under its own cookie policy.
  • We don’t sell data collected through cookies.

Who is responsible?

The Website is operated by Atlas j.d.o.o., Brune Bušića 20, 23211 Pakoštane, Croatia, OIB: 33978793252. Email: [email protected].

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They let the website remember things, such as your language or your cookie choice, and help us understand how the website is used.

We also use similar technologies, such as local storage, scripts, and tracking pixels. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.

  • First-party cookies are set by Visitteo.
  • Third-party cookies are set by other companies, such as Google or our partners.
  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.

Which laws apply?

We use cookies in line with the EU ePrivacy rules, as implemented by the Croatian Electronic Communications Act, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Cookies that aren’t strictly necessary are used only with your prior consent. Where cookies process personal data, our Privacy Policy applies.

How does Google Consent Mode work?

We use Google Consent Mode. Before you make a choice, and if you reject analytics cookies, Google Analytics doesn’t set cookies on your device. Google may receive basic, cookieless signals, such as that a page was loaded, which it can use only in aggregated form. When you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics works normally. Learn more on how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Affiliate links and partner cookies

Visitteo earns a commission when you book through our links. With your consent, affiliate cookies on Visitteo help record that a click came from us.

When you click a link and arrive on a partner’s website, such as Discover Cars, EconomyBookings, Booking.com, Kayak, GetYourGuide, or Parclick, that partner may set its own cookies on its own website. Those cookies are controlled by the partner and are covered by its own cookie and privacy policies, not this one. Learn more in our Affiliate disclosure.

How can I manage cookies?

In our cookie banner

When you first visit the Website, our cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all optional cookies, or choose by category. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect cookies used before you withdrew it.

In your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the Website may not work properly.

For other browsers, see your browser’s help pages.

Google Analytics opt-out

You can also stop Google Analytics from collecting data on all websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How long do cookies last?

Each cookie lasts for the duration listed in the table above. We ask for your consent again at least every 12 months, or sooner if we add new types of cookies.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We update this policy when the cookies we use, our partners, or the law change. The “Last updated” date below shows when it was last revised. If we add new categories of optional cookies, we’ll ask for your consent again.
